September 15: THE TINY WILDLIFE IN YOUR GARDEN; INSECTS ON YOUR SIDE. Freedom Park Interpretive Center, 10:00 a.m., open to the public. Dr. Shawn Dash, Assistant Professor of Biological Sciences at Hampton University, will convince you to pay more attention to the insects in your garden. His enthusiasm and passion for nature will provide a most interesting program. This event is part of the Learn and Grow Educational Series sponsored by the Williamsburg Botanical Garden. The program is free, although a $5.00 donation to help the Garden grow is appreciated. For more information, contact Shawn at firstname.lastname@example.org. Weather permitting, after the program Master Gardeners will be in the Garden to answer questions and talk about what is in bloom.
