THE MAGIC METAMORPHOSIS OF BUTTERFLIES–CHILDREN’S PROGRAM

July 14 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Saturday, July 14, 2018
10:00 to 11:00 am

When humans and animals are born, the babies look like miniature versions of their parents. But not so for butterflies! Learn how butterflies start as tiny eggs and the stages they go through before becoming beautiful flying creatures. Judith Alberts, a Virginia Master Gardener and butterfly enthusiast, will explain the life cycle and metamorphosis of butterflies through pictures and living examples from her own butterfly nursery. She will also explain how even the smallest garden can bring butterflies into your backyard. Children of all ages are invited to this free program, but a $5.00 donation to the WBG is appreciated. Please register by emailing wbgkids@gmail.com.
